Yet Another NEW Snapshot 21w08b! Here are notes for NBTExplorer

 OK, since I created a new world, and forgot to turn on cheats, I am using NBTExplorer to do my starting out cheats.  I started a little normal, mined, found iron, made an iron pick, found diamonds, made ONE diamond pick to mine more diamonds, some Lapis, and Obsidian to make an enchantment table (instead of using my diamonds to make tools) I forgot about NBTExplorer until I made the Enchantment table, so all of this was after I got the Enchantment Table and a little bit of Lapis.  I made a stone shovel. This is the only thing that I will leave in my inventory. Recipe for Stone Shovel Crafted Shovel in Inventory OK, now I enchant the stone shovel with any enchantment. I use the Enchantment table without any bookshelves (I didn't have any yet, anyway). I got Efficiency I Enchantment (doesn't matter) Now I saved the game and exited down to the Single/Multiple Player game menu. I then minimized the window and opened up NBTExplorer and used it to open my saved game. I worked my way

New Snapshot: MC 21w07a Starting Out

 OK, since it is a new snapshot, none of my favorite Mods will work so I start a new world with Cheats enabled and Mob Damage to the world turned off (so Creepers can't blow up everything I build). I also give myself some items that are impossible to make in-game, such as a Netherite Sword with 100 sharpness, 100 looting, Mending, 10000 Unbreaking, etc. I give myself similar tools, picks, shovels, axes, with mending, some with fortune, some with silk touch, etc. to get things rolling faster. After a time of initial building, I normally start making normal enchantments on diamond items and use them, but the beginning goes much faster if I start out with better items than you could normally get in-game. My objective is to explore and discover at first without worrying about mobs killing me or trying to obtain materials to make tools and armor to survive. I normally make two worlds for each new snapshot. One world is with cheats enabled, and the other is a normal world without cheats.

Game Initialized, Time to Start Working!

 Whenever I start a new game, after doing my initializing things like using /give for equipment and setting the GameRules, I look for a place to start building. I will make this post as if I am not using any cheats, but do have the Mods installed as usual. First, I gather some wood, I prefer to use Oak or Jungle wood to make doors so I can see if any mobs are on the other side, so I need 1 log to make a crafting table, 3 logs to make 3 doors and 2 trap doors. I'll also need to get enough wood to make some sticks for making tools and torches. I'd make the crafting table first, and use it to make a wooden pickaxe. I dig dirt, and chop trees by hand until I upgrade to stone tools.  I look for a mountain or large hill with a flat face on it. I use the wooden pickaxe to mine a tunnel 2 blocks tall, and in by 3 blocks. On the bottom of the last block I mine a side "viewport" that I will use later for killing mobs. Then I mine a 3 block tall tunnel, with a matching side port
